Shining a light on our cities’ increasingly gentrified & surveilled landscapes, and our pre-packaged roles within them, we re-imagine our communal spaces & invite people to wrangle with their own actions & agency. What future will they choose for our furry fugitive? Will they access their Wild-within!
Using audience as an immediate chorus, FOXED! mixes big puppetry & movement to provoke thoughts on Borders & Order and what we can learn from the Wild scavengers we share this city with…how will you respond to the outsider who can hide no more?
Some fear the city is no longer safe. Some call for more vigilance, to protect our assets, uphold the order we have worked hard to instil.
How far will some go?
On the edges the Outsider lurks; the Scavenger; the Wild-Unknown-
never to be trapped or contained, never to know where tonight will be home.
The tree roots break through the tarmac, don’t trip!
The call to the forest comes-
is she leading you home or astray?
